RADON

    Radon test  take several days to get an accurate measurement of the radon level present during the testing period. Radon levels can change due to weather, humidity , temp ,heating and cooling, seasons of the year, mechanical devices such as cloths dryers and other venting devices. 

One common method for testing is placing a radon collecting device in the area to be tested, for several days. Then mail it in(comes with an envelope) and have the lab test for radon levels. This is a one time product. This test material can be purchased locally or on line. Cost about $25.00.

There are several electronic digital radon monitors available that give a long term and short term average. These monitors can be placed in an area of concern and will monitor the radon levels for years. This system will give good information as to the levels all year long. Cost range $130 to $250 on line.
